Shankar Sankaran photoCall for Papers:  For Human Systems Inquiry (HSI) Special Integration Group (SIG) at ISSS 2012 conference 'Service Systems/Natural Systems in San Jose. Deadline March 1 2012.

HSI-SIG at ISSS has a central emphasis on those Systems Sciences directly concerned with human beings.  The concept of 'Service Systems' is closely related to 'Human Systems' as well as 'Natural Systems". I welcome all proposals that help to make these connections.

Please visit http://isss.org/world/2012-call-for-participation and submit your paper or poster abstract (deadline June 1, 2012), or a proposal for other form of presentation, e.g. workshop or panel discussion (deadline March 1, 2012).

Full papers are due by end May 2012 and must be submitted as separate submission to the Journals site. Academics wishing to submit papers for blind peer review please indicate it in the paper and send me an email as well.

The purpose of the HSI SIG is to provide an arena for ISSS members to present, exchange information, learn, and discuss:

  • ideas and viewpoints concerning issues in systems methods and methodologies relevant to human beings and the human condition;
  • applications of systemic ideas to systems practice in human contexts;
  • innovations in systems methodology; and
  • systemic case studies conducted in, with, or by human activity systems.

I look forward to meeting you all at San Jose.

Warm regards

Shankar
